Class Experience

US Grade 9 - 12

In this semester-long course, high school students will cover topics covered in a Art 1 class in a school.  We will learn about the Elements of Art while creating artwork.  Subject matter of art projects will vary, and may change based on the interests of the learners in the class.

The following format will be followed:  
[Week 1] - Lecture, Notes, Practice Activities 
[Week 2] - Project Work.  
*The color unit has significantly more information, so that unit will last for three weeks.  
*Learners will be expected to spend approximately one to two hours outside of class each week working on their art projects.

**Office hours will be posted for students to attend a live meeting with the teacher if needed.  Some weeks students may take advantage of these, and other weeks they may not if unnecessary.

**Students will submit their work via the classroom and receive personal feedback from the teacher there.

 Students will learn what the elements of art are and start working with the Element of Line through practice activities.
