Description
Class Experience
Learners will learn different drawing, watercolour painting and acrylic painting techniques. Learners should emerge from this class as more skilled and confident artists
I will expect each learner to do at least one hour of drawing or painting each week. I will assign homework at the end of each class and the learner can decide if they want to do it quickly or take time to do it and turn it into a potential portfolio piece.
Upon enrolling we can discuss specific art supplies needed. This is a general list Pencils Eraser Ruler Fine tipped black felt pens A sketchbook! Pencil Crayons (coloured pencils) Acrylic paints Canvas Smooth Cardboard (like the inside fo a cereal box) Watercolour paints Watercolour paper Blowdryer Painters or Masking tape Old gift or rewards card A variety of paintbrushes including at least one tiny, round brush for detail work
I will provide personalized, written feedback in the learner area if learners send me their homework. If the learners do not send me their homework I can not provide helpful feedback. I do not like to grade art, but I am happy to provide one if the student requests it.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
