High school algebra has changed over the years, it seems to encompass more and more. There is now Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 being taught in most schools. This semester will cover topics from Algebra 1. We will learn about variables, what they represent, how to use them. We will solve equations both simple and complex and combining like terms. I am offering this class as a first of two that will cover all topics of high school algebra. I hope that separating the whole into two parts and taking our time will allow for better understanding of the subject matter. It is important to have a teacher who understands that math can be frustrating and intimidating, that's me! Together, we can do this.
There will be a worksheet to be printed out and worked on at home. Please be prepared to take notes and follow along when we solve problems.
