Algebra 1 is designed to introduce students to the fundamental concepts and techniques of algebra. Through a combination of lectures, discussions, and problem-solving exercises, students will develop their understanding of algebraic principles and learn how to apply them to real-world situations. Acquire skills in graphing linear equations and inequalities, including rate of change and finding the equation of the line. 4. Gain proficiency in solving quadratic equations by factoring, completing the square, and using the quadratic formula. 6. Learn about functions, including how to identify, evaluate, and graph them. 7. For over three years, I have been involved in teaching mathematics and providing tutoring services. As a mathematics teacher, I have a deep understanding of various mathematical concepts and their applications. I specialize in algebra, geometry, calculus, and have a strong ability to explain complex mathematical theories in easy-to-understand terms. I have experience utilizing different teaching methods to cater to students of varying skills and learning styles. Additionally, I am proficient in using various software and tools to enhance the learning experience such as graphing calculus and online educational resources. I am passionate about mathematics and committed to helping my students achieve their academic goals.
There will be handouts and resources provided by me for no additional cost. Students just need a paper/pencil, notebook, and a scientific calculator.

This class uses the following: 1. Google classroom for access to pre-recorded lessons for additional help if needed. 2. Khan academy is used along side the class. This a free website as an additional resource tool where learners can complete assignments, quizzes, and test. 3. A free online textbook is provided by Big Ideas Math 4. A YouTube video may also be provided as an additional resource for learners to grasp topics taught in class. Please note, no communication is done or enabled elsewhere. Communication is only done via Outschool platform.
