US Grade 9 - 10
This is a self-paced (recorded) class, and there will be no live meetings. This class is listed in 2 parts. Each part stands alone and can be taken in any order. During each lesson in this self-paced class, Miss Jen will use fun and engaging slides and activities to help students learn grammar skills necessary for reading and writing. Each class will focus on one aspect of grammar to reach mastery by the end of class. Each lesson will consist of a mini-lesson video with engaging slides (about 20 minutes in length), a few Nearpod activities to practice the grammar skill, and a couple hands-on activities to practice using the skill. Activities may include: editing a paragraph, writing a paragraph, dissecting a sentence, worksheets, and more. Students can receive feedback from the teacher by asking questions, posting homework for feedback, and answering discussion questions. The teacher will interact with learners by replying to comments on posts and giving feedback on worksheets and assignments. Miss Jen will answer questions and provide feedback within 24-48 hours during weekdays. It is estimated that the class will take about 1 hour per lesson, constituting of 12 total hours for part 1 of this course. *Part 2 will be available soon! Message me if interested in part 2.

Phrases vs. Clauses & Dependent vs. Independent Clauses
Students will learn how to use, identify, and differentiate between phrases and different types of clauses. 5 mins of video lessons
Lesson 2:
Sentence Fragments, Run-ons, & Punctuation to Fix Them
Students will learn how to identify and fix fragments and run-ons by adding the correct punctuation. Lesson 3:
Prepositional Phrases
Students will learn how to identify and use prepositions and entire prepositional phrases within sentences. Lesson 4:
Subject & Object Pronouns
Students will learn how to identify and use subject and object pronouns within a sentence including the difference between I vs. me. Other Details
