"High" Happiness Challenge: Workout and Learn Healthy Habits to Decrease Stress

Class Experience

Are you ready to learn habits that will set you up for a happier, healthier future? In this ongoing HIGH Fitness class, we meet once a week with a 30-minute aerobic HIIT type workout*. We get our heartrates up and move to your favorite music artists. Participants will be given weekly challenges sleep, phone fasting, and journal challenges to identify how these things can either increase or decrease their daily stress and anxiety. Come enjoy a positive workout environment and community where you are striving to be the best you!

Week 1: Welcome week! Come have fun and see if this is really as fun as I say it is. Don't forget to send song requests!

*We move almost constantly during this workout. I will provide movement variations for different fitness levels so that modifications can be made on the individual level. Participants should have proper exercise footwear and clothing, a clear workout area free of tripping hazards to move around, and water to drink throughout the class. Use caution if exercising on the carpet. Carpet makes tripping while exercising more likely.

We move almost constantly during this workout. I will provide movement variations for different fitness levels so that modifications can be made on the individual level. Participants should have proper exercise footwear and clothing, a clear workout area free of tripping hazards to move around, and water to drink throughout the class. Use caution if exercising on the carpet. Carpet makes tripping while exercising more likely. We will be exercising to popular music from the '70s to now. I do not include songs with any explicit language and I always try to choose music with fun positive themes. There may be songs with underlying themes that may not be acceptable to some parents. You can message me to receive my updated playlist and decide if you approve of the song choice.
Supply List
Participants should have proper exercise footwear, a clear 6-foot area to move around, and water to drink throughout the class.

I am a certified HIGH and HIGHLow Fitness instructor
I received my Bachelor's in Dance from Brigham Young University where I received injury and prevention training, anatomy, kinesiology, and somatics training. I am confident in my ability to provide safe classes.
