US Grade 3 - 5
I am a huge National Park lover, so it is with deep commitment that I take learners on adventures that leave them loving our federal lands. My goal is to inspire excitement, teach with entertainment, and plant the seeds of their own Park passions! In this adventure, we will explore the two U.S. National Parks in the Moab region: Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. Students will tour the region through videos and photographs. They will discover the magic behind the sandstone. We will explore how the arches were formed, how the wildlife adapted, and how people communicated. We have numerous challenges, mysteries, and demonstrations. I provide live activities as well as several printables. Class #1: geology & location Class #2: park mammal & adaptations Class #3: cool park plants Class #4: solve the park mysteries Academic Vocabulary Includes: Erosion Anticline Adaptations Petroglyphs Pictographs Crater Canyon Saponin
Learning Goals
