Class Experience
What do you do to stay warm and cozy in the winter? Maybe you turn on the heater, curl up by a fireplace, or warm up with some hot cocoa? Out in the wild, animals have to find their own ways to stay warm. For some animals, that means hibernating! We will learn how that's different for a variety of animals, with a new one each week. They don’t all hibernate the same way! Since an animal is going to spend a lot of time in its home, it is important that it has everything they need. So, what do...
Learn about the hibernation habits and homes of a new set of animals each week. Each session is different. Students can join at any time.
Former homeschool parent and lifelong nature and outdoor enthusiast. I am passionate about learning about nature and passing that knowledge on.
Paper (plain or lined), Pencils, Art medium of choice: Markers, crayons, paints, etc. Craft medium of choice: play dough, modeling clay, legos, construction paper and tape/glue, small sticks and leaves, etc. I will email families each week on some ideas for craft materials. These are not required as learners can choose how to express what they have learned.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
