Dungeons and Dragons is an open-world scenario in which students may choose to battle, avoid, or even befriend monsters. If there is any concern about this, please reach out to me and I will be happy to accommodate any concerns regarding this (e.g., instead of monsters, students will only have to problem-solve in non-combat scenarios.) We will be using several third-party tools to make the game experience more immersive and smoother for all, but none of these require account creation. There is an option on both of the websites for the student to change their display name, but this is optional, and they can use their character's name or a pseudonym, if they don't wish to use their first name. The third-party tools are: * www.rolldicewithfriends.com. On this site, I create a private room, send the unique URL to the students, and it is a way for us to see each other's dice rolls. No account creation is required. Changing one's display name is optional. There is no option to chat, the only functionality it has is dice rolling. * www.owlbear.app. This is a virtual tabletop which allows me to share maps with the students, to make the gameplay more immersive. No account creation is required. Changing one's display name is optional. There is no option to chat. * dnd.wizards.com. This is an approved Outschool resource which allows students to view and edit their characters, as well as look up rules.
Optional: DND Beyond's Player's Handbook
Please note: I am currently taking a break from Outschool due to other work commitments. Classes Offered: * Global History Voyagers: Uncover the past through exciting historical quests. * Yoga for Peak Fitness: Discover the mind-body connection...
