Calling all Hero's to come forth! Evil has hit the land and we must save the kingdom! For hero's are not found they are made! In this one week camp we will spend an hour each day creating a male character model. We will discuss the basics behind anatomy and which areas apply to the 3d world. We will talk about the difference between modeling a character and sculpting a character. What is considered low polygons and how to make the best use of the polygons they have. This camp is not for the...
During this class we will be doing: Day 1 - Setup and Body building - what do you mean characters start with boxes? Day 2 - Arms and Legs - What no hands and feet? Day 3 - Hands and Feet - Yay he can walk! Day 4 - Head and body - Start the head to finish the body? Day 5 - Ears and Hair -Lets give our character some ears and hair
Students will be asked to find or create a second character as homework. They may choose any male character they want or even create themselves as well.
Campers are required to have a three button mouse and not a track pad for working in Blender. Also you will need to download and install Blender a free 3d modeling software that can be found at https://www.blender.org/. Please check with the software and hardware requirements of your computer before downloading Blender. I have found most computers made in the last 5 years have no problems running the software.
