In this five-week course, students will learn the 69 letters of Hiragana (a Japanese alphabet). They will study in an upbeat and interactive way, where all students will feel comfortable and engaged.
Class Experience
Did you know that Japanese has three writing systems? I know, hard to imagine right? Well, in this one time class you will learn to read, write and pronounce 15 of the 69 characters of Hiragana (one of the writing systems). But wait? Doesn’t Hiragana have only 46 characters? I received my undergraduate degree in the Japanese language, culture, and history. I also earned my Master's degree in K-12 education. I studied abroad at Nihon University in Tokyo as well as worked as an English teacher in Niigata, Japan. I was able to see what I learned firsthand.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
