Herbs for Kids! A Beginner's Guide to Herbal Preparations
Class experience
Extracts, infusions, and hydrosols, oh my! In this 5-week course, students will explore how herbs can be enjoyed in various ways, from body care to an all-natural version of the popular goo we play with called slime! Students will create one concoction per class in a scaffolded manner, building upon skills developed in each class prior. Class 1: "Herbal Drink" - Activity: We will begin with a fun getting-to-know-each-other activity and choose an herb or flower to represent us during this...
Students will improve their understanding of the many uses of herbs through exploration and learning how to create herbal products.
I have been studying, creating, and selling herbal products since 2008 under my business, Lovely Green Studio. Over time, I have replaced many conventional products in my home with natural and homemade products ranging from skincare and makeup to food and multipurpose cleansers. I specialize in making herbal tea blends, bath, and skin care products, using herbs in cooking, and applying them in various methods for general wellness. It's valuable for learners to know how to craft basic herbal products and connect with nature in their daily routines.
