In my experience teaching and coaching girls, I like to create a safe space for students to feel empowered to grow. I keep the conversation flowing, and I include and engage all students in the group. I model confidence through my teaching style and calm strength. I feel lucky to have the opportunity to work with students and to provide skills that will aid them on their limitless journeys!

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have taught students the process of writing, both expository and creative, for the past 16 years as a private tutor. I have also trained and managed the writing staff for a well-known after-school tutoring company, with several locations throughout my region. I enjoy helping students grow a love of writing that will carry over throughout their lives. The writing process can be arduous for many students, so my teaching style is collaborative and fun. I am a former therapist and current board certified life coach. I specialize in empowering girls and young women, helping them to find their voices and better understand themselves.
