Students will learn by looking at artwork by the artist, teacher demonstration, and independent work time. Students will check in with the teacher after the demonstration to ensure understanding. The teacher will check in with each students as they progress through the lesson. This lesson will cover Henri Matisse, paper cut out collage, shape(organic/geometric), and the implementation of a unique composition.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of shape focusing on the Henri Matisse style. Students will be introduced to the Artist Henri Matisse and receive some background information. Lastly, students will increase their creative arts abilities by implementing the collage media.

Colored paper, black paper, pencil, scissors, glue.
