A booklet of a variety of community helpers, will be provided. Your child can print out and color this for additional review. Also, a template for community helper crowns will be provided for the student to wear on day two when they share what they want to be when they grow up. Both of these are optional.Assessment

US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
At the beginning of each day, students will participate in an interactive story time. The story for day one is "Clothesline Clues to Jobs People Do" by Kathryn Heling and Deborah Hembrook and the story for day two is "When I Grow Up" by Mike Berenstain. On the first day, after the story, we will discuss more in depth a variety of community helpers and end the class time with a fun review game. For the second day, after the story, we will review different careers and then the students will be able to take turns and share with the other learners what they want to be when they grow up and why.

Hello! My name is Tesla. I typically go by Teacher Tesla or Miss Tesla in the classroom. I have my teaching certificate in early childhood education (PreK- 3rd grade) and my Master’s degree in Special Education. I am currently an Intervention Specialist in a local school district. My classes are student centered and I plan lessons that are fun and engaging to the students!
I live in my childhood hometown. I have three dogs- Ruger, Cooper and Kimber and one cat- Mew. I have nieces and nephews that I adore so much and spend a lot of time with! I enjoy being with friends and family and love to learn and have fun!
