1. Psychoeducation - students will learn why our brains feel stress and how stress can be both helpful and hurtful 2. Stress triggers - students will learn common triggers of anxiety (exams, public speaking, swimming, social situations, etc.) and also learn how to name, recognize, and react to their own unique triggers. 3. Coping skills - students will build a toolbox of both preventative and responsive exercises for anxiety including corrective thought patterns, positive affirmations, breathing exercises, grounding exercises, body movement and other skills. They will also learn the scientific explanations behind why certain tools work to calm the mind and body.

Printable worksheets/handouts will be sent in advance when needed. All other crafting supplies will be minimal and limited to typical household items.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Teacher expertise and credentials
Mental health education can be as sensitive as it is crucial to development. I am a Master's student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I have experience in academic research, teaching and creating curriculum, emotional development, crisis training and response, and childcare.
