Class Experience
Let's get to know the ancient Egyptians. What exactly is a pyramid? Who is the God Ra? Are mummies real? Did the Egyptians really invent bowling? In this Multi-Day class, students will learn six themes of the Egyptian Pyramids. Day One: Who Were the Ancient Egyptians? We will study their daily life, sports they enjoyed, and why they built the pyramids. Day Two: Egyptians worshipped 1,400 Gods. This week we will learn about seven of them: Ra, Amun, Anubis, Thoth, Osiris, Bastet, and Seth....
I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston. My concentration was European History. I enjoy studying ancient civilizations, especially the Egyptians. I am a firm believer that history does not have to be boring. I take great pride in my lesson planning, I make sure to throughly research each topic I plan to teach.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
In this class students will learn about the Ancient Egyptian Mummification process. Parental Supervision may be needed.
