Class Experience

The students will learn to use deductive reasoning for problem-solving. The students will confirm their understanding of the text read aloud or information presented orally by asking and answering questions about key details and requesting clarification if something is not understood. They will use prior knowledge of animal groups like birds, fish, and mammals to apply deductive reasoning. The students will also extend their prior knowledge to place new vocabulary into a previously known schema.

pencil with eraser Handout - Deductive Reasoning This will be completed at home for fun unless there is enough time during class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I assess during class informally by listening to my students interact. I gently encourage all of the students to try in some way to participate in the class either on camera, off-camera or by writing in the chatbox.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
