This class supports students who may be struggling or need some extra practice in Algebra 1. Students may take this class concurrently with their Algebra I class as a support. It is expected that students have at least been previously introduced to the topics covered. Then, in this class we will do engaging activities to review, practice, and reinforce concepts critical to success in Algebra 1. Students will improve their skills in implementing the order of operations, evaluating and simplifying expressions.
I have successfully taught Pre-Algebra through Algebra 2 for over 30 years in public schools, on online platforms, and at homeschool co-ops. I've worked with students who have learning challenges and high-achieving students, and many students in between. I bring these experiences to the classroom.
