Description
Class Experience
Each week we will meet to practice reading, social skills and have fun engaging in an activity with friends online. Students will read the book listed below before class so that we may discuss the book with friends during class. Each student will have the opportunity to read aloud, share opinions on the book and engage in a fun activity with peers. Our goal is to practice reading before and during class to sharpen our reading and comprehension skills. You will need to purchase these books...
Students will develop social skills, enhance reading skills and gain practice reading aloud in a group.
Students will need to read the book of the week from cover to cover before class begins in order to discuss the book when the class meets. We will also take turns reading pages for reading practice when class meets.
A handout will be provided with word searches, games, journal and fun Heidi Heckelbeck inspired games I created on the first day of class.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
