In this set, we continue with learning new letters and segue into reading more actual words, which we started in the first session. As we come across actual words in the primer, learners should write the their translation. Learners will conjugate verbs in the present tense according to the person or pronoun who is the subject of the action, using singular and plural, masculine and feminine. They will put together words into simple sentences, conversing about the weather, holidays, traveling,...
Learners will improve their ability to converse in Hebrew; for beginners, they will build a foundation of vocabulary and compose simple sentences.
I was a student in classes that were taught in Hebrew. I have been to Israel many times, using the language to communicate with bus drivers, shopkeepers, restaurateurs, and tour guides. I have numerous relatives living there, to whom I speak Hebrew.
Reading practice will be expected. Children should spend ten minutes at least twice a week reviewing.
Paper and pencil are needed. Please purchase the primer, Derech Binah Reading Workbook, from Behrman House, cost $7.00. (The one with the brick arch and the fat construction worker on the cover.)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
