In this ongoing class, I will be teaching Hebrew language for beginners through songs, stories, drawings and conversations. No prior knowledge is required.
Class experience
In this ongoing weekly class, children will learn the foundations of the Hebrew language by listening to simple phrases, songs, stories and basic conversation as well as drawing while learning Hebrew vocabulary. Children will: -learn to sing the aleph, bet, vet in Hebrew (Hebrew alphabet song) along with other Hebrew songs; -hear simple stories in Hebrew (ie. nursery rhymes, finger play songs); -learn conversational words and phrases (ie. what is your name, how are you...); -play games...
This class is taught in English.
Students will engage in a beginning Hebrew language class where they will hear stories and songs in Hebrew, learn new vocabulary words every week, and practice using their own voice to begin basic and simple Hebrew conversations in a safe and supportive environment.
I have 17+ years teaching experience in primary schools in Australia. I began studying Hebrew over 40 years ago and have lived in Israel altogether for over 3 years (studying on Ulpan and working on kibbutzim). I have taught Hebrew in a private school in Brisbane, Australia.
