I am an experienced classroom primary / elementary school teacher and head of year. I have taught in London, North Africa and the Middle East and am now based in the U.S. With many years of experience and enjoy helping children progress in their academic journey. There will be times that I will send links to useful videos. In order to access some of the resources you will need to have access to Youtube. Nearpod From time to time, optional NearPod activities will be provide for self-paced completion outside of class. What is NearPod? NearPod is an app approved by Outschool. It can be be accessed with a code and link provided by the teacher. Nearpod is free with an account that parents / guardians will need to set up. Games will be interactive for the learner, support from the parent might be needed at first until learners get used to it but parents / guardians are always encouraged to check activities to ensure they are appropriate for their family’s needs. If NearPod is used during a live class, then the teacher will give notice of this in the classroom. There will also be occasional, optional assessments will be available in NearPod.
