Take a journey from the right atrium through the cardiovascular system from the perspective of a red blood cell. Students will learn basic anatomy of the heart and how blood vessels transport oxygen and other nutrients throughout the body.

Description
Class Experience
Students will learn: 1) The four chambers of the heart (right/left atria and right/left ventricles). 2) The differences between arteries, veins, and capillaries. 3) The path of a red blood cell as it travels through the cardiovascular system loop.
No homework will be assigned for this course.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Assessment will take place during the lecture. Students will be asked questions as well as a short review at the end of the lesson.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
