It is a simple truth that true health and wellness begins with a healthy and well planned daily routine. This class helps do just that by equipping your child with essential executive function skills—the ability to plan, organize, transition smoothly, and manage time effectively. These skills are the foundation for lifelong learning, self-regulation, and independence. ✅ Better Transitions & Fewer Struggles – By using a visual daily schedule, your child will always know what’s coming next, reducing stress and meltdowns around changes. ✅ More Confidence & Independence – Your child will learn how to take charge of their day, make decisions, and navigate transitions with ease. ✅ Improved Executive Function Skills – Planning, sequencing, problem-solving, and time awareness will become natural parts of their daily routine. ✅ Strengthening Literacy & Language Development – As children engage with their daily schedule, they naturally practice reading left to right, recognizing words and symbols, and developing oral language skills by discussing their routines. They will build vocabulary related to time and sequencing while explaining and adjusting their schedule. ✅ Emotional Regulation & Flexibility – Changes happen in life! This class will help your child prepare for and manage changes with a growth mindset, making them more adaptable and resilient. ✅ Encouraging Active Engagement Through Music & Movement – Each lesson integrates songs, rhythm, and movement-based activities to reinforce routines and transitions. Music helps children internalize sequencing, build memory, and engage in whole-body learning, making daily routines feel natural and enjoyable. By the end of this course, your child will have a fully functional personal schedule, stronger executive function skills, and a newfound sense of confidence in managing their daily life—skills that will benefit them for years to come! What will be taught? This course teaches foundational executive function skills through hands-on routine-building activities. Learners will create and use Daily Schedule Cards to develop independence, improve transitions, and strengthen planning, organization, and time management. Growth mindset strategies will be incorporated to help children navigate changes and develop flexibility. What topics will be covered? Executive function development through structured routines Sequencing daily activities (morning, afternoon, evening) Planning and organizing a personal daily schedule Managing transitions smoothly and reducing frustration Problem-solving changes in the routine with a growth mindset Literacy, math, and STEAM learning through hands-on scheduling activities How is the class structured? This is a six-week, twice-a-week course, with live 1:1 instruction tailored to each learner. The first session each week focuses on creating and customizing schedule cards, while the second session is a Show & Tell reflection, where learners practice their schedule, discuss what’s working, and adjust as needed. A related book will be read each week to reinforce concepts. How will the class be taught? This course follows an interactive, hands-on teaching style, blending discussion, demonstration, and active participation. Learners will engage in creating and arranging their schedule, role-playing daily transitions, and personalizing their experience. Parents play a co-teaching role to support implementation at home. The Parent’s Role as a Co-Teacher Because we are working with such young learners (ages 3-6), this course is designed as a co-teaching experience between the instructor and the parent/caregiver. The parent’s role is essential in reinforcing what is learned during live sessions and helping the child successfully implement their daily routine. Some examples of ways parents will need to help include such things as: -Assist in cutting, arranging, and setting up schedule cards -Encourage their child to use and refer to their schedule daily -Participate in Show & Tell reflections to discuss successes and challenges -Help create a dedicated schedule display area at home -Guide their child in adjusting to changes and building flexibility -Work cooperative with me to provide the most amazing course, ever! This hands-on involvement will ensure that executive function skills are practiced and strengthened beyond class time, leading to long-term success in organization, time management, and transitions. What is the teaching style? The course follows a playful, inquiry-based, and highly interactive approach. The teaching style emphasizes real-world applications, problem-solving, and empowering children to take ownership of their routines. Parents and children work together with me to actively build executive function skills in a natural and engaging way. How much interaction will learners have with the teacher? This course is a fully interactive 1:1 experience, where learners will engage directly with the instructor in each session. Activities include: ✔️ Hands-on schedule creation (cutting, arranging, and personalizing cards) ✔️ Live discussions & problem-solving (addressing transitions and changes) ✔️ Role-playing routines (practicing morning, afternoon, and evening schedules) ✔️ Show & Tell reflections (celebrating successes and troubleshooting difficulties) ✔️ Story time integration (connecting executive function skills to children’s literature) ✔️ Music & movement activities (reinforcing routines with rhythm, songs, and interactive motion) How does this method positively impact a learner's behavior? One of the biggest challenges young children face is managing transitions, expectations, and emotions throughout their day. Without clear structure, they can feel overwhelmed, frustrated, or resistant to change. This course gives children a visual roadmap for their day, helping them feel secure, prepared, and in control—which leads to dramatic improvements in behavior. Here’s how: ✅ Reduces Anxiety & Meltdowns – When kids know what’s happening next, they feel safe and prepared. The visual schedule removes uncertainty and surprises, which are common triggers for stress. ✅ Encourages Independence & Confidence – Instead of constantly asking, “What are we doing next?” or waiting for an adult’s direction, children take ownership of their schedule. They feel capable and in control of their day. ✅ Smooths Transitions & Eliminates Power Struggles – Moving from one activity to the next can be tough, but when children see what’s next on their schedule, transitions become expected and easier. Instead of resisting cleanup time, they check their schedule and self-initiate the next task. ✅ Teaches Emotional Regulation & Flexibility – Changes happen, but when they’re visually represented, children can process them before they happen, reducing frustration. They also learn adaptability and problem-solving when the schedule needs to be adjusted. ✅ Strengthens Focus & Task Completion – A structured schedule helps children stay engaged and follow through on activities, improving attention span and self-discipline over time. By integrating structure, predictability, and ownership, this method helps children feel secure, capable, and in control of their world—leading to happier, more cooperative behavior both at home and in learning environments. Is it possible to adapt this course to fit my child's age, stage, or situation? Absolutely! This course is highly adaptable and can be tailored to meet your child’s unique age, developmental stage, learning style, or specific needs. Because this is a 1:1 course, we can adjust: ✔ The complexity of the schedule – Younger children may start with just a morning routine, while older children can manage full-day planning, time management, and goal-setting. ✔ The types of schedule cards – We can modify or add custom cards for specific activities, therapies, extracurriculars, or household routines that match your child’s lifestyle. ✔ Pacing and support – Some children may need extra time and hands-on guidance, while others may work more independently. We can adjust accordingly. ✔ Modifications for unique learning needs – Whether your child has ADHD, ASD, is an ESL learner, or struggles with transitions, we can modify the approach to best support their success. ✔ Alternative learning tools – If a child prefers visual timers, checklists, or interactive role-play, we can integrate those strategies into the learning experience. Since the goal is to build a system that works for your child and family, we will work together to ensure that the course meets your child's needs and sets them up for long-term success! 😊

As both a parent and educator, I’ve seen how strong executive function skills—like planning, organizing, and transitioning—set kids up for lifelong success. My own children, now 20 and 22, thrived because they built these skills early. But I’ve also watched kids struggle in school around age 7 or 8—suddenly overwhelmed by time management, transitions, and emotions. Why? Because these skills weren’t developed when they needed them most—in early childhood.
How Daily Schedule Cards Transformed My Classroom
In my Pre-K classroom, Daily Schedule Cards were my secret weapon. Instead of stressful transitions, we had seamless routines that gave kids confidence and control.
-Every afternoon, we built the next day’s schedule together, discussing what was coming next.
-Every morning, kids used the schedule as their guide, knowing exactly what to expect.
-Instead of meltdowns at cleanup time, kids checked the schedule and transitioned effortlessly.
-When plans changed, we adjusted the schedule together, teaching flexibility and emotional regulation.
And the learning? It happened naturally.
✔ Executive function—planning, sequencing, adapting.
✔ Literacy—reading left to right, recognizing words.
✔ Math & time awareness—ordering activities, tracking time.
✔ STEAM thinking—problem-solving, building, measuring space.
Why Parents Need to Teach This at Home
Most parents don’t realize executive function skills start in early childhood—until struggles appear years later. The best way to prevent frustration? Start now. Kids love taking ownership of their day, and this course gives them the tools to succeed.
This isn’t just about smoother mornings (though that’s a plus!). It’s about helping kids feel in control, adapt to change, and gain independence—all through hands-on learning, play, and meaningful parent-child connection.
