What's included

8 live meetings
4 hrs 40 mins in-class hours
Assignments
1 hour per week. Some class meetings will have small learning activities/projects that we work on in class and kiddos are encouraged to finish after class on their own!
Certificate of Completion
We are always happy to provide proof of teacher credentials, along with completing any ESA state forms, homeschool reports, grade reports, etc that you may need! Additionally, every child will receive a Certificate of Outstanding Achievement at the completion of this course!

Join our Healthy Habits Quest: An 8-Week Adventure for Kids, designed to teach essential kids' health and wellness concepts in a fun and engaging way. This course covers nutrition, physical activity, emotional well-being, personal hygiene, and more. Through interactive lessons, your child will explore nutrition and food groups, ways to stay active, healthy hygiene habits, why rest is important, how to deal with big feelings, the importance of kindness and how to be a good friend, and more! Perfect for parents seeking an online health class for kids that promotes a balanced and healthy lifestyle!

Course Schedule:

Week 1: Introduction to Health
-What does it mean to be healthy?
-Importance of good health
-Overview of topics we'll cover
-Understanding long-term and short-term health

Week 2: Nutrition Basics
-Introduction to the food groups
-Benefits of each group
-The importance of a balanced diet

Week 3: Physical Activity
-Benefits of regular exercise
-Different types of physical activities
-Creating a fun exercise routine

Week 4: Healthy Eating Habits
-Identifying healthy (nutrient-dense) and unhealthy foods
-The importance of regular meals and snacks
-Fun ways to incorporate fruits and vegetables into meals

Week 5: Personal Hygiene
-Importance of daily hygiene routines (brushing teeth, bathing, washing hands)
-Proper techniques for personal hygiene
-Role of hygiene in preventing illness

Week 6: Rest and Sleep
-The importance of sleep for growth and health
-Creating a healthy bedtime routine
-Tips for better sleep

Week 7: Emotional Well-Being
-Understanding emotions and feelings
-Healthy ways to express and manage emotions
-Activities to promote mental well-being (mindfulness, relaxation techniques)

Week 8: Social Health
-Building and maintaining friendships
-Importance of kindness and empathy
-Dealing with peer pressure

Supply List
Paper and something to write/color with is always good to have nearby!

Some classes will have additional supplies that are optional such as grocery ads, a printable, or common craft supplies that you most likely already have at home. You will always have a week's notice if there are any supplies required for the following week's class. If it's something you don't have we will always find a way to work around it so that your kiddo can still participate and have fun!
