The different ways in which we all learn: visual, auditory and kinesthetic, will be introduced and students will have the chance to identify which learning style they feel most comfortable with when learning. Students will have the opportunity to share what they feel their strengths are and what they find most challenging. Learn how to integrate activities that can help you relax into your school day so that learning is easier. You will learn how to identify when you need a break and what kinds of activities are helpful to your work and focus. Learn tools that support healthy learning habits while having fun! Activities include: The Scribble Exercise, (for hand and wrist tension when writing) Running and Mirrored Form Drawings that help to strengthen eye tracking and spacial awareness The Clap and Cover: (for tired eyes or ears) Fine Motor Activities: Finger games, strengthening activities The Clap and Count: a movement activity that incorporates different parts of the brain and allows the student to get the wiggles out, and balancing exercises for posture and vestibular support.
This class is appropriate for any student, including those with sensory motor and/or learning challenges. Aurore has completed a three-year certificate in Remedial Education in addition to her Masters degree. in Waldorf Education and has training in manual therapy, The Davis Method and H.A.N.D.L.E.
