Students will learn about healthy cooking, socialize with friends, and prepare a delicious carrot cake smoothie.
**ARIANA PEARSON** Ariana is an eclectic Spanish and ESL teacher from Indianapolis, Indiana who now calls Costa Rica, "home." After studying, working, and living abroad in Peru and Costa Rica, Ariana considers herself to be truly bilingual and bicultural. Ariana holds a Bachelor's degree from IUPUI (Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis), along with a TESOL teaching certification. She enjoys teaching online and her experiences have helped her gain a deeper understanding of pedagogy and language acquisition in the virtual learning environment. Ariana's teaching philosophy centers around the importance of creating a relaxing, engaging learning environment that maximizes student language output.
-large raw carrot -frozen ripe banana -pineapple chunks -coconut milk (substitute: water) -plain Greek yogurt (naturally lactose free!) -oats -pecan butter or almond butter -vanilla extract -ground cinnamon -nutmeg -whipped cream (alternatives: Truwhip Vegan, So Delicious Dairy-Free Coco Whip) -blender -drinking glass
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental guidance recommended because students will be using blenders.
