Healthier Baking

Fresh baked goods are a real treat- but all the sugar, white flour and fat that come along with them is not so great for our bodies. Learn to switch out ingredients to bake things that are healthy but still delicious and satisfying.

Description

Class Experience

I have been teaching cooking to children from preschool up to high school for 9 years. Before teaching, I worked as a pastry chef for many years. I look forward to cooking with your student.
A recipe with all the ingredients and equipment needed will be sent out the week before the class starts.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Students should be able to complete all the steps on their own, however parents should remain near to help as needed. We will rarely use knives and graters in this class, but when we do safety will be discussed before we start. Younger students may need assistance putting items in the oven. An adult should always remain nearby during class to assist if needed.
