Find out why each of these are important & what options exist for maintaining health & wellbeing. Based on multiple research studies, students will explore why there is not a one-size fits all approach to being healthy. The goal is for each student to develop the skill of taking general health information/options & apply it to their lives, empowering them to make better, more informed, personalized health choices. About Ms. Katie: I am a Certified Health Coach and love to teach people skills that enable them to make informed choices about what is best for their bodies. For the past two years, I have also been a health educator on Outschool teaching Middle & High School level classes. As a professional, I feel no two bodies are alike. So, what works for one person does not always work for another. Health is created by the accumulation of knowledge about how the body works and how to apply that info to our own bodies. Body awareness helps us ask the right questions and seek the appropriate treatment with a licensed medical professional.
