This is a one-time contemporary world history course that will cover two Atlantic Revolutions (American, French) of the 18th and 19th century. The content is conveyed to students via lecture, articles break-out group collaboration and class discussion. Interaction takes place via discussions and quiz/games. Students will learn, discuss and respond to questions about the Am.& Fr. Revolution. The Declaration of Independence and the Declaration of Rights of Man and Citizen are the sources used for this exercise. The learning outcome for this course includes the following; identify the causes that lead to revolutions and to illuminate the understanding of and connection between the declaration documents and the culture of revolution.
