During this camp, students will receive instructions on the concepts of fractions. The class will begin with an introduction of fractions, which consists of the definitions, and explanations of the parts of a fraction. The schedule for this class is: Day 1 - Types of fractions and how to simplify fractions. Day 2 - Adding fractions with like denominators: proper fractions, mixed numbers, and mixed numbers and fractions. Day 3 - Subtracting fractions with like denominators: proper fractions,...
The student will: learn and understand the three types of fractions. learn how to add and subtract the different types of fractions. learn how to simplify fractions. learn how to multiply fractions. learn how to divide fractions. learn how to convert fractions. learn how to find equivalent fractions.
The students will receive fraction problems, similar to the topic taught that day in class to be completed before the next class meeting. Homework should take 15 to 30 minutes to complete.
Copy Paper Lined notebook paper for taking notes and working problems. Pencils with erasers (at least 3) Colored pencils
The learner's progress will be assessed by the homework and the final exam.
