Description

Class Experience

Students will be able to name the five patterns found in nature, identify what they look like, as well as where to locate them.
I have been an educator for 27 years. During this time I have taught all subjects in regular education as well as in gifted education. This class does not cover a sensitive or high-risk topic.
Students will not have any homework, however, they will be encouraged to look for the patterns learned when in nature. They will be completing their art pieces individually during the class.

A two-page handout will be provided. Students will need their printed copies. Students will need tools with which to color. These can be either crayons, colored pencils, markers, or oil pastels.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Learner progress will be assessed through quick formative "check-ins" and questions throughout the slide presentation and art activity.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
I will be sharing my screen during my Google Slides presentation. Students do not need an account.
Images, found on Unsplash.com, of the five patterns found in nature will be used in the Google Slides presentation.
