Students will improve their understanding of the writing process and will in turn become much more skilled writers. Students will learn brainstorming techniques such as mind mapping, how to create a template for their essays to carry out the actual writing of their content, and will learn how to effectively edit their papers by learning strategies for the editing phase.

With more than six years of teaching experience in writing and English, I have helped thousands of students improve their writing skills. Additionally, I have my Master's degree in Communication Management from The University of Southern California. My degree focused heavily on professional writing, and have therefore learned and mastered the essential concepts to writing a cohesive, and well thought out essay. 

Students will be assigned in-class activities, and practice prompts to address each of the three phases for homework. 

Students will complete an initial short wiring assessment to gauge their writing level. Students will also write their own short essay as a final project and will be assessed to gauge writing improvements from prior to taking the course to completion of the course.

1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
