Class Experience
Students will learn about the author, Ernest Hemingway, and how he is entrenched in the history of Key West. Students will learn a bit about the area in the late 1800's when Marrero's mansion was built.
I have a Bachelor's degree in English Teaching and over twenty years of experience teaching rhetoric, writing, reading, language arts, history, and social studies. I am familiar with the material, and have the experience to foster meaningful learning. I am an adventurer, and haunted history enthusiast, and I enjoy exploring areas of the world that have unique and interesting history, such as Salem, and Roanoke. I have traveled to Key West and explored many of its haunted locations, firsthand. Key West is one of my favorite travel destinations, and I have engaged in a personal research project of the history of this area because I find it fascinating.
