Description
Class Experience
Students will become familiar with a list of multi-syllable words with -ture endings. Students will learn to work as a team effectively in order to solve the puzzles.
I am a state-certified Elementary Teacher who has become aware of and greatly concerned about the absence of structured spelling instruction in most schools today. In my private reading tutoring practice, I have watched my students become strong and independent spellers by using my approach based on the Phono-graphix method.
No homework is assigned, but an optional Scrambled Words and Word Search puzzle will be given at the end of class for a review of the word lists.
Learners will only need a pencil and paper for this class.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
All word lists, puzzles, and the escape room story are teacher-created. Word lists for this class are curated from my 2nd-4th grade leveled spelling curriculum.
