Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 6
Intermediate Level
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone was released over 20 years ago and it quickly became one of the most popular novels amongst readers of all ages. From the exciting adventures to the loveable characters, this novel has something for everyone.

We will spend the next 10 weeks together, immersing ourselves into the novel and discussing it as a group. We will spend time working on key vocabulary and comprehension skills. Each week students will also have a focus task to work on a specific reading skill such as making predictions, character traits, and summarization. Students will have the opportunity each week, to share their ideas from their focus tasks that they work on prior to the class.

I love to be very interactive with my students as well as getting them to interact with each other. By sharing ideas and thoughts, students are able to learn a lot from each other as well as build their public speaking skills. We will have many discussions over the course of our time together to share all of the wonderful things we are taking away from this novel.

I am so excited to join you on this magical reading adventure!
