Teacher expertise and credentials
Hey there!
My name is Jordan Scott. I am a licensed teacher in the state of Texas. I'll be teaching 1st - 5th reading, writing, and math! As well as a few social and book clubs. I am currently a 5th grade reading and writing teacher but I have been teaching for 10 years in all subjects from grades 1st-5th. I have a master's degree in education and just received my STEM Certification. I have always had a love and passion for reading and for teaching kids to love reading, too! My goal is always to create a classroom environment where kids feel valued, successful, seen, and resourceful! I keep my classroom positive and expect kindness and respect from all students.
I am also a mom to one sweet, little boy who just turned 7. We moved to Texas 2 years ago from California, where I was a homeschool teacher and still advocate for it! I love working with homeschool learners.
I am very excited to meet you and your student in class!
