🎇Hi there, my name is Karen Willow! Welcome to the Harry Potter Book Club: Books 1-3 discussion! This club is designed for students who have not completed the entire Harry Potter series, and wish to discuss only knowledge from the first three Harry Potter books.

▬▬▬▬▬▬ 🧙‍♂️𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁? ▬▬▬▬▬▬
Welcome, Harry Potter fans! In our club, we discuss characters, topics, events, and more from the 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 three Harry Potter books. From Slytherin and Gryffindor's rivalry on the Quidditch Pitch, to the Sorting Hat Ceremony, you can bet to talk all about the story we all love. Tough questions regarding character actions, traits, and more will be debated as we join in this weekly book discussion together.

▬▬▬▬▬▬ 🧙‍♂️𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 You Should Know Before Joining ▬▬▬▬▬▬
Please make sure you have either read the entire first, second, and third Harry Potter book, or have seen the first, second, and third Harry Potter movie. We do not read the books together in class, nor are there reading assignments week by week. This club is meant to serve as a discussion group to talk about topics, themes, and characters from the books.

▬▬▬▬▬▬ 📝𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻: ▬▬▬▬▬▬
Each week, we begin club with a "𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙮𝙤𝙪" 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 where you and other Hogwarts students share about yourselves and your opinions on topics from the book series. For example, you might answer the question "𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘏𝘰𝘨𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘴 𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰?". After this, you'll join in a 𝙜𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚 to discover what our theme of the week is by filling in the blank of a quote from the first book. After answering the 𝙃𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝘾𝙪𝙥 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 about this theme and earning points for your Hogwarts house, we will begin learning about the theme of the week. Students will be led through a 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙛𝙖𝙫𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨, 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙩𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙙𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙥 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙙𝙚𝙚𝙥𝙚𝙧 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙡𝙚𝙙𝙜𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙚𝙭𝙩. If you're looking for a fun and encouraging environment to practice your debate skills and public speaking capabilities, this club is a great space for you to explore these skills. This club is also welcoming to learners who might not feel comfortable speaking allowed, but would like to use the chat function to type their opinions and answers.

𝘞𝘦𝘦𝘬 1: Theme of the Week: Hogwarts
𝘞𝘦𝘦𝘬 2: Theme of the Week: Diagon Alley
𝘞𝘦𝘦𝘬 3: Theme of the Week: Professor Quirrell

The weekly examples above give an idea as to what each week's topic will be. However, this class is learner led and each week's character is determined by student interests.
