Happy Thanksgiving! Let's Make a 'Thankful Turkey' for your table.

We will be making a "Thankful Turkey" craft out of a toilet paper roll and discussing things that we are thankful for. It will be so much fun as the student learns to make recycled art as well as reflect on the joys of life!!

Class Experience

These classes are meant to encourage recycling at a young age, as well as develop motor skills through crafts and encourage budding performers to lose jitters and grow in their presentation skills by showing their creations. This class will also encourage gratitude and thankfulness.
No homework. The student can continue to discuss what they are thankful for and add more feathers to their turkey or even make one for each family member!
 1 file available upon enrollment
Materials Needed: (the student can make as many as they want if they tend to finish quickly. Also, see attached Thankful Turkey Template) -Toilet paper roll –Scissors -red/orange/yellow (or whatever color they want their feathers to be) -brown acrylic paint or construction paper cut into 6 x 4.5" to cover the toilet paper roll -Tape/Glue -Google eyes or white printer paper cut in a circle –Black marker -pen or pencil to write Thankful Words on the feathers
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No assessment. The student can finish their project share a photo of their Thankful Turkey in the class discussion, especially if they don't get to finish it in class or if they make more.
