We will explore the beauty of watercolor while create this colorful frog painting. Students will learn to blend colors and create a frog with brush strokes. Proper brush care will be discussed as well as how to use the brushes to create texture with them. We will discuss what colors to begin a watercolor with, and why complimentary colors are such an important part of a painting. Supply List 8 inch by 10 inch watercolor paper,(regular printer paper will rip) bowl or water, paper towels, number 12 round brush that comes to a point, palette paper (or a watercolor tray or foam plate), Watercolor paint set. A set is easy to find a craft stores. We will use white, yellow, orange, alizarin crimson(red), purple, blue, green, burnt sienna, brown and black.
