This class is a fun, easy, and relaxing way to draw that lets your imagination and confidence grow as an artist. Learners help choose the weekly theme for our artwork by voting the week before. Learners can focus on using their imagination to draw with the weekly theme or follow along with me. I will share a second camera so that learners can choose to follow along with me as I draw, but Learners are always encouraged to be creative too! I will usually have instrumental music playing as I draw, however if this is an issue please message me and I can make accommodations.

After we draw our artwork, Learners will be given the chance to color. Sometimes we may not have time to color an entire piece of artwork, and I model this for Learners who may struggle with not completing. Learners are always reminded that they can share works in progress, and post images that they finish after class in the classroom if they like.

This is a great way to practice drawing in a less stressful environment that also promotes a growth mindset. I encourage Learners not to use pencil or erase as they draw, as each design can flow and change as you go. There are no mistakes, just chances to make something new! If Learners are not comfortable using markers, they may use any materials to complete their drawing. Some students even use digital apps such as Procreate or Ibis Paint. I use these tools from time to time, but I mostly draw with Sharpie or Pen on paper.

Learners do not have to have experience drawing. I will explain the drawing for our artwork at the beginning of class and draw step by step. I often check with Learner progress if they want to follow along, so it is important to encourage your Learner to ask for help if they need it. Sometimes I will upload outlines for your learner to use as applicable. Learners may use any drawing supplies or paper that they like. I do recommend thicker paper for markers so they do not bleed through the paper.

***This is an inclusive club, and everything that we draw is meant for everyone. There is always a way to make the drawing unique and your own so that it suits your tastes and styles. Some artwork can be interpreted as holiday themed, but I try my best to keep everything more season-themed than holiday themed.**

**This is an ongoing weekly class. I will teach this class even if only one learner enrolls. Learners may not always finish their artwork during class. They are welcome to continue after class, or bring unfinished drawings back to the next class if they prefer.

Parental Guidance
Parental supervision or guidance is suggested for inexperienced or younger learners. Even though most markers will wash off of skin, surfaces, and clothing be sure that your learner knows how to keep markers on their artwork. It is suggested that your learner wear clothing that you don't mind getting marker on, and that your learner is in an area that can be wiped down. I suggest putting newspaper or parchment paper under the area where your learner will draw in case of accidental drawing. Sometimes we may not have time to color an entire piece of artwork, and I model this for Learners who may struggle with not completing. Learners are always reminded that they can share works in progress, and post images that they finish after class in the classroom if they like.
Supply List
Learners may use any drawing supplies to complete their artwork. I usually use Sharpie or pen.

-Art Markers: Most of the time I use Sharpies, however dual tip art markers are also nice. Any markers that your learner likes should be fine, but I do suggest having a variety of colors.

-Marker Paper: This can be any size your learner likes to use, as long as it is durable enough for marker drawing. There are usually drawing pads that say "marker and watercolor paper" that can be found in many stores.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
