Happy Birthday, Vermont! This state turns 232 years old on March 4th. (We will be celebrating on Fri 3/3 since I don't teach on weekends.) To celebrate, we will briefly explore what makes this state great. Students will learn about Vermont's capital, age and birthday, nickname, motto, and state bird/mammal/flower. Together, we will also briefly explore the symbolism of the state's seal and flag. We will also listen to Vermont's state song and learn some interesting facts. Class...

We will be learning the state's nickname and motto, which are found on Vermont's official website. We will also be learning about the state mammal, flower, and bird which can be found in the same place. We will color in the state flag, also found on the state website. We will listen to 5 interesting fun facts created by the academic Youtube channel, Studies Weekly, and listening to the official state song with the DN Anthems Youtube channel.
