Happy Birthday, Texas! This state turns 176 years old on December 29th. (We will celebrate on Wednesday, 12/28 since I will be on vacation on 12/29.) To celebrate, we will briefly explore what makes this state great. Students will learn about Texas's capital, age and birthday, nickname, motto, flag, and state bird/mammal/flower.
