In this one-time class, we will celebrate Maryland's birthday by learning about it's symbols, discussing its flag and state seal, listening to the state song, and discovering interesting state facts.

Description

Class Experience

Students will be able to identify the state's symbols, nicknames, and motto. 
 1 file available upon enrollment
Students will be able to download and print off a worksheet about the state.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will be learning the state's nickname and motto, which are found on Maryland's official website. We will also be learning about the state mammal, flower, and bird which can be found in the same place. We will color in the state flag, also found on the state website. We will listen to 5 interesting fun facts created by the academic Youtube channel, Studies Weekly, and listening to the official state song with the DN Anthems Youtube channel.
