Happy Birthday, Illinois! This state turns 204 years old on December 3rd. (We are celebrating it on Friday, 12/2 because I don't teach on weekends.) To celebrate, we will briefly explore what makes this state great. Students will learn about Illinois's capital, age and birthday, nickname, motto, flag, and state bird/mammal/flower.
