Class Experience
Happy Birthday, Florida! This state turns 178 years old on March 3rd. To celebrate, we will briefly explore what makes this state great. Students will learn about Florida's capital, age and birthday, nickname, motto, flag, and state bird/mammal/flower. We will also listen to Florida's state song and learn some interesting facts. Class Expectations: I love participation and I love activity. I'd love students to verbally participate, but it's not required. Students will be able to print out...

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will be learning the state's nickname and motto, which are found on Florida's official website. We will also be learning about the state mammal, flower, and bird which can be found in the same place. We will color in the state flag, also found on the state website. We will listen to 5 interesting fun facts created by the academic Youtube channel, Studies Weekly, and listening to the official state song with the DN Anthems Youtube channel.
