Class Experience
Happy Birthday, Barack Obama. August 4th was this 44th U.S. President's birthday! (We will be celebrating on Thursday, August 3rd since I will be out of town on 8/4.) To celebrate, we will briefly explore the life of this president. Students will learn about Barack Obama's presidential story, as well as some interesting facts about his life. Class Expectations: I love participation and I love activity. I'd love students to verbally participate, but it's not required. I do ask for students...
Students will be able to identify facts about this president's life and term in office.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will be watching 2 youtube videos embedded into a powerpoint: a song that lists all 46 presidents and a 60 second clip about Barack Obama's presidency created by the PBS Presidents channel.
*Political opinions and bias, as well as deep dives will NOT be a part of the class. We will learn age-appropriate facts about President Barack Obama's term in office from whitehouse.gov, millercenter.org, history.com and Britannica.
