Class Experience

In this class, students will enjoy a read-aloud as well as participate in making their own bird/squirrel feeders. We will begin by taking turns sharing a little bit about where you're from, what you like to do for fun, and what kind of wildlife lives around you. We will then enjoy a read-aloud along with a short period for questions/comments, and eventually our art project!

Learning Goals

Students will learn bits about print concept through a silly, fictional read-aloud. They will be using their fine motor skills to create their bird/squirrel feeders.

Supply List
1-2 pinecones - any size works but the larger, the better. (No pinecones? A stick or branch should work!)
1 (plastic) knife, popsicle stick, or anything for spreading
About 2 feet of yarn, string, ribbon, or the like
Peanut butter (if allergies, honey or almond butter, or any sticky edible substance should work)
Bird seed or almost any form of crushed up nuts/seeds

*Parents: please keep in mind this could get messy. Maybe throw down a trash bag or use large craft table.
