Over the course of this two day class we will read a book and talk about how we can help fill people's imaginary buckets of happiness. We will talk about how each person can fill other people's buckets with their kindness or empty people's buckets with unkindness. After we read the book, the children can work together to solve a crossword puzzle while we talk about ideas for showing kindness. After the first class, the children will be given a challenge to show kindness over the next days....
The homework will be the acts of showing kindness, which will take whatever amount of time the child decides to invest. This is meant to be happy and positive, not stressful.
Someone will need to print the pages that are uploaded to the classroom before each class. The children will also need a writing implement and a surface on which to color.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
